Catapults – Pastel Pink
We started our day with skits, all around the theme Marauder’s Map. Our skit was short, but mighty! Then we headed back up to the unit to work on friendship bracelets. After our action-packed week, it was nice to sit and visit while working! We also had our last few campers complete their Monster Book of Monsters. We had a tasty treat from Anita’s snow cones after lunch. We have worked on our Pygmy Puffs all week, so it was fun to finish those today! We ended our day with archery, thankful that today was cooler. We will be doing color wars (with colored chalk) and water games tomorrow, so be sure your camper is dressed in something that can get dirty and wet. We will do this at the end of the day, but they might want to bring a towel and a change of clothes.
Tornado 1 – Peach Pygmy Puffs
We started our day with skits that all the girls had practiced and written for us! We got really creative with ours and definitely got lots of applause. After enjoying our lunch, we got snow cones! Once we had finished our refreshing treat, we headed over to tie-dye to make some colorful shirts. We had an amazing day, and we can’t wait to see everyone for our last day at camp! Tomorrow is also Animagus day, so don’t forget to wear your (heat appropriate) costumes!
Tornado 2 – Purple Pegasus
We had a blast today performing at the skit show, eating a delicious snow cone from Anita’s Shaved Ice, and making SWAPs for tomorrow! Tomorrow is Animagus Day, so remember to dress as your favorite animal!
Bats 1 - Fiery Phoenixes
We started off our day by performing our skit and watching the other campers perform theirs as well! The skit theme was Marauder’s Map, and everyone had lots of fun making it! After that, we headed to Firefly Lodge for a frozen treat – Anita’s Shaved Ice! Then, we sat in the shade and ate our lunches and completed our Harry Potter quiz. Afterwards, we had lots of fun making bubble wand crafts at our unit! Lastly, we headed up to Firefly Lodge to complete our last craft for the week. Remember, tomorrow is Animagus Day – so dress as your favorite animal!!!
Bats 2
Today we went on a watermelon hike, we made friendship bracelets, had snow-cones and most exciting of all, we had our water day! If your child would like signatures on their t-shirts tomorrow please bring a pen and their camp shirts!
Sunrays 1 – Minty Mermaids
The Minty Mermaids started the day by performing our brilliant skit – mischief managed! We loved our delicious snow cones and had even more treats at outdoor skills. We learned about fire safety, made fire starters, and then enjoyed s’mores. We learned more about the principles of leave no trace and put those principles into place carefully walking around camp to avoid both mud and animal homes. We started our minty decoupaged shells, which we will bring home tomorrow, and learned to make friendship bracelets. We are really looking forward to camp tomorrow!
Sunrays 2 – Lavender Lions
The Lavender Lions started the day with their skit and the skit show! Where we performed “take a buddy.” After that we had some free time and started making our swaps! Snow cones came next, where we all ate until we got a brain freeze! Next, we went to science where we had to solve a mystery of who stole the Goblet of Fire and defeated the thieves (it was Goose and Nimbus!)! After science we had some more downtime where we made some more of our bracelets for swaps! Lastly, we ended camp with closing flag ceremony, where we led the retiring of the flag!! Tomorrow, we have our watermelon hike and many crafts! We can’t wait to end camp tomorrow on a good note!!
Rangers
Today we had fun performing at the skit show and cooled down by having some yummy shaved ice! Next, we finished up sewing our bags at crafts and made s’mores at outdoor skills! Today was full of delicious treats and amazing crafts. Remember, Animagus day is tomorrow, so dress as your favorite animal!
Pixies – All Powerful Pixies
Today was full of magical mischief and creativity! The girls performed a fun Marauder’s Map-themed skit (and were, arguably, the best act of the morning) brewed their own exploding potions and got crafty making swaps and magic noodle sculptures. They also created edible magic wands out of pretzels and cooled off with delicious snow cones. To top it all off, our amazing teen counselor Kazul taught everyone how to make friendship bracelets. It was another enchanting day at camp!
