The Daily Prophet Friday 2025
Daily Prophet – July 11, 2025
Instructions from Tie Dye:
Please wait to remove the tie dyed item from the bag until the following day, so the dye can set in. Using gloves, rinse the item, then remove the rubber bands and wash the item in cold water - separately – do NOT put it in the wash with other clothing/items.
Catapults – Pastel Pink
The Catapults started our final day making wands in Crafts and finishing our pygmy puffs. They’re stuffed and ready to cause some mischief! We met the rest of camp at the flag pole to trade our Harry Potter acceptance letter SWAPs, and after a quick lunch break, we had a color war and got to cool off with an exclusive ice cream party! We washed off all the colors with a water war and tidied up before finishing the day seeing who won the House Cup.
Tornado 1 – Peach Pygmy Puffs
We started off our last day with a low-key start, finishing our swaps and doing some other fun crafts at the unit. After that, we headed down to the flagpole to do the swap meet! Everyone was so creative, and the girls got some great souvenirs. Once that was finished, our OWLs and adults led the girls in a couple of crafts and activities, including rock painting and a search for dragon eggs! Once we finished our time at the unit, we went to the closing circle at the amphitheater. We had an AMAZING week with your girls and hope we see them next year too!
Tornado 2 – Purple Pegasus
The last day has come…bittersweet! We had such a great week and don’t want it to end, but we are looking forward to air conditioning and not hiking all the way up to our shelter! Today was another fun craft day!! We finished sewing embellishments on our tote bags and continued to make bracelets and gimp keychains! The SWAP meet was a definite highlight, sharing our fairy wands with friends and getting their swaps in return! After lunch we enjoyed a cooking project, making wands with pretzels and frosting! We ended the day with one last craft taught by our OWL. It was a joy having your child with us this week, and we hope they come back next year!! Keep flying high, Purple Pegasus!
Bats 1 - Fiery Phoenixes
We had an amazing last day of camp. We made hair tie swaps and swapped with other campers. We helped clean up our camp site and were rewarded with lots of lollipops. We made king paper plate awards about each other and presented them in front of everyone. Lastly, we had our closing ceremony where counselor names were revealed, and songs were sung. See you next year!!!!!!!!!!
Bats 2
We had a great last day of camp. We did some crafting and had a super exciting SWAP meet! What a whirlwind of a fun and hot week we’ve had. We hope to see you all next year!
Sunrays 1 – Minty Mermaids
The last day of camp went swimmingly for the Minty Mermaids! We started the day in the best way—with our extra ice cream party!! We had a chance to share our sparkly mermaid swaps with others at the swap meet, explored the camp one more time on our watermelon hike (more treats for mermaids!), and we saved some of our favorite crafts for the last day of camp. We hope to see all of the mermaids at camp next year!
Sunrays 2 – Lavender Lions
The Lavender Lions had a FANTASTIC last day of camp! We are so sad to see you go, but we can’t wait for next year! We finished up our SWAPS and then went on a hike around camp to find a watermelon! Then we participated in the SWAP MEET and went back to our unit for a crafty afternoon! Ask your camper to show you what they made! Then we went to eat some popsicles at the porch and had our closing ceremony! Hope to see every Lavender Lion back at camp next summer!
Rangers
Today, the Rangers started the day by going to Archery and then had a shaving cream battle at the field. They then cleaned up and had ice cream with the pixies. After that, they took a dive in the mud pit and ended the day with a water balloon battle with the Catapults. We hope to see you all next year!
Pixies – All Powerful Pixies
We wrapped up an amazing week of camp with a magical final day! The All Powerful Pixies proudly served as the color guard for the morning flag ceremony, cared for magical creatures, and crafted their own quill pens. They exchanged SWAPs with fellow campers and counselors, created colorful sidewalk chalk art, got ice cream (again!) and ended the day with an epic water balloon battle with the boys- a perfect way to celebrate the end of an unforgettable week. We loved every moment with your young witches and hope to see them back at camp next year for more magical adventures!
